Stella Morgan is a veteran astrologer with over 40 years of experience in chart reading, interpretation, and astrological education. One of MPA’s founding contributors, Stella brings a rare depth of practical knowledge to every piece she writes — grounded in decades of real-world work with clients, students, and charts spanning all twelve signs of the zodiac.

Specializations

Stella’s core work centers on three disciplines:

• Natal chart reading — the full interpretation of a birth chart, from the Ascendant and Sun sign through the planetary placements in houses and the aspects between them
• Compatibility and synastry analysis — comparing two charts to understand the dynamics at play in relationships, friendships, and professional partnerships
• Transit interpretation — tracking the ongoing movement of planets across a natal chart to understand timing, cycles, and periods of opportunity or challenge

Training and Background

Stella trained primarily in the Western tropical tradition — the system most practiced in the English-speaking world, rooted in the Greek and Hellenistic heritage and formalized over centuries of European astrological scholarship. Over the course of her career she also developed a working awareness of Vedic astrology (Jyotish), the ancient Indian system that uses the sidereal zodiac and a distinct set of interpretive techniques. While Stella writes primarily from a Western perspective, she brings an appreciation for the depth and rigor of the Jyotish tradition and references it when illuminating.

She has read thousands of charts over four decades — professionals, students, parents, young people navigating their first Saturn return, older clients working through second or third Saturn cycles. That breadth of experience is visible in her writing: she knows how placements actually tend to manifest, not just in theory, but in people’s lives.
